Design Communication AB, Cliff’s owner, today announces the full acquisition of Hemi Models & Prototypes AB in Stockholm. With that Cliff strengthens its positions in Stockholm and the eastern Nordic region. Hemi has a strong client base including Electrolux, Ericsson, Scania and a large number of other product developing companies. Hemi has its activities in the central parts of Stockholm in a part of Electrolux Forum. Ownership is immediate as of February 1st, Hemi will change name to Cliff HEMI Models & Prototype AB and will continue to be run as an independent company within the Cliff group. -"We have been looking for a company that will be a complement to our current range of service, is close to the customers but above all has a large potential. This we have found in Hemi”, says Patrik Sjöstrand, Investment Manager at Design Communication. -"Cliff Design was already the largest company with design services in Sweden prior to acquiring Hemi. By this acquisition we come closer to our customers in and around Stockholm. This will also fit into our organic expansion with the opening of a design office in Stockholm that we currently are carrying out", says Cliff’s CEO Johan Andinsson. “It also increases our capacity in delivering "intelligent show models” to our customer’s. At the same time it is a complement to our range of service with SLS, metal forming and advanced surface treatment". Hans-Göran Larsson who has been a part owner in HEMI and its CEO since 2002 will remain in the company with responsibility for the daily operations in Stockholm.
