MOTOREPUBLIC BETA model launch

MOTOREPUBLIC launched their full-scaled BETA bike clay model during this weekend in Skara (Formakadenmin i Lidköping). BETA bike is a type of motorcycle where as a new frame; not yet existing on the market has been developed. The model has therefore been constructed from scratch and the clay model is considered a feasibility form study to a future road racing class within motorcycling. BETA is an official project driven by the Motorcycle department at Cliff Design, both part of Design Communication.

BETA concept The Beta bike is running with a belt drive and electric engine/fuel-cell and with performance comparable with 800cc. For the optimal weight Beta bike’s frame is integrated in a shell construction as front and rear swing. Steering is solved with hub steer-by-wire. The BETA bike will be integrated with on-board cameras where as the audience will be able to participate in the race in a completely different way then before. An on track experience! The next step in the development is to scan the model and use as references for the continuing development of the BETA bike.
