Services

construction

If you feel unsure about any part of the construction work or need complex solutions, we can help. Our designers have extensive experience in prototyping and master the entire development process, from strength calculations to material selection. They are also responsible for translating 3D drawings and optimizing the substrate so that milling machines and other machines can work as efficiently and correctly as possible. In short, we are happy to take care of what you do not have the capacity or knowledge to solve yourself.

Lamination

In laminated constructions, low weight, high strength and advanced shapes can be combined. We work with both fiberglass and carbon fiber and can control the material's properties by choosing which fibers to use and how the fibers should be placed in relation to each other. Laminates are particularly suitable in shell constructions where very specific properties are needed, as both material and shape can be tailored and optimized for the purpose. We create the shapes needed for lamination using our milling tools.

Vacuum casting

If you want to produce a rubber part or transparent plastic part with a high surface finish, vacuum casting is an effective method. Two-component casting compound is mixed and poured into a silicone mold, where it is allowed to harden. The fact that the process takes place in a vacuum means that the product is 100% pore-free and that the requirements for post-processing are very small. Examples of components we can produce are lamp lenses for cars/trucks, rubber articles, etc.

Varnishing

Our painting facility meets professional standards and has capacity for very large objects, such as cars. We mainly paint models and prototypes, but since we work with the requirements of the automotive industry, it also applies to production. This means high corrosion resistance and that the paint can withstand being exposed to normal wear, blows and shocks without being damaged. We can achieve a very high final finish on all substrates and materials. In order for the paint to adhere to greasy materials such as clay and certain plastics, we develop primers with extreme adhesion if necessary. We apply and master all color coding systems and standard paint systems. In addition to that, we can also develop special lacquers, where we test our way to the desired colors and structures. We can also help you with experimental paints such as chrome paint and other resource-demanding and unusual surface treatments.

After all the other processing, we can help join the parts together. If you have a product that consists of several different parts, in addition to manufacturing the components, we can also assemble them so that you get a finished, fully functional product or prototype in your hand.

Milling

In the production of a prototype, or in production in small series, milling is usually the most efficient method. No matter how advanced sketches you've looked at before, it's only now that your idea becomes a volume, something you can see and feel. From there, it is often possible to take what you want to do all the way to the finished product with the cutter as the only tool.In our largest cnc milling machines, we process porous materials such as styrofoam and hard foam, for example to create full-scale models of cars or other large objects. The precision is very high, with tolerances as small as thousandths etc. In our high-speed milling cutter, the Micron HSM 600 ULP, we can process hard materials such as metal or granite and achieve an exceptionally high finish and durability. In between, we have the entire spectrum of milling machines, from simple 3-axis to advanced 5-axis machines, which can handle everything from hard metals to wood and various types of plastics.Milling is an ideal machining method for models, prototypes and small series production. Other areas of use are tool making for production as well as plugs and molds for lamination and casting.

3d print

3d print is an additive manufacturing technique where an object is built from scratch by adding layer upon layer of material in a 3D printer. The basis comes from a CAD file, a three-dimensional drawing of the object to be manufactured. If you are not able to produce CAD files yourself, we can do it.We have a team with a lot of experience in free-forming. Many of us who work with the technology have been involved from the beginning, for example when Saab built up its model and product development center in the 90s, a business we later took over.3d printing is an efficient manufacturing technique that gives us the opportunity to create advanced shapes and constructions with relatively little work. This makes the method very suitable for prototyping and product development. We offer several different free-forming methods, including selective laser sintering and stereolithography. Which one should be used depends on whether the object's function and strength are to be prioritized or if dimensional accuracy, detail and surface finish are more important. In free-forming, there are limitations regarding how large objects can be produced. If a finer surface finish is desired.
